Kristen Wong’s estate planning practice focuses on helping her clients and their families make the important decisions today to avoid unnecessary pain and conflict tomorrow. She understands how complicated the estate planning process can be and she guides her clients to ensure that their loved ones are taken care of and their final wishes are carried out. Her expertise includes family protection, wealth preservation, and values-based planning, as well as planning strategies for unmarried couples and divorced individuals. Whether you are married or single, with a traditional family or blended one, just starting out or looking back on a life well-lived, Kristen will help you to craft a plan that achieves your goals for your loved ones today and for years to come.

Kristen received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and earned both her law degree and M.B.A. from Loyola Marymount University with Dean’s List honors. She spent the next several decades working in the real estate and mortgage industries, where she spent a large part of her time making the intricacies of the law more understandable and approachable for non-lawyers.

Her life path took a turn when her younger sister, Jacqui, passed away after a 4 year battle with breast cancer, leaving behind a 4-year old son and 7-year old daughter. One of the last moments she remembers Jacqui being lucid in those final days, was during an “eleventh hour” home visit by an estate planning attorney. It was someone that Jacqui and her husband had met with a few years before, when they discussed, but never finalized, their final wishes. Although her sister was only 41 years old when she passed away, and the whole situation with her young children was heartbreaking, Kristen was struck by how lucky her sister was in one way: that she knew in advance how much time she had left and that, because of this, she was able to make plans for her legacy and for her family, plans that 55% of Americans end up putting off until it’s too late.

At that point, it became one of Kristen’s missions to help educate her community so they would know how to make wise decisions for the future of their loved ones. She began the Seasons Estate Planning law firm to offer a more holistic approach to estate planning. Her goal is to make sure that the decision-making process is as easy to understand as possible, and to ensure not just that the legal and financial needs would be taken care of, but that the entire range of legacy planning needs would be met. She walks her clients through the process step by step to create and, more importantly, finish, a plan that will protect their ones.

Most importantly, Kristen is a proud wife of her husband Dean and mother to her two kids.
